March 8, 2010

We had a very good week at school.  We talked about magnets and did some experiments with them.  We started learning about time to the hour and half hour.  We are almost finished with all of our letters and the children are really starting to put those sounds together to sound out words.  We have been reading a Bible story each day in class.  Mrs. Gage gave us a book for the 40 days of Lent.

We have also bee talking a lot about the leprechaun and what would happen if we could catch him! I was gone Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, and Friday.  The children did great for Mrs. Collins.  I learned a lot at the conference and came back ready to try some of these new things!

I have started assessing the children’s progress for the 3rd quarter and will continue this next week.  It is hard to imagine that the 3rd quarter is almost over.
